The Week - March 20, 2012

1. Spending the first two days of the week with my friends, A.J. and Brittany. They hail
from the midwest. AJ is originally from Oregon. He studies music and she studied dance.
How poetic this modern love story is n’est pas?

2. Two birthdays this week! I excitedly await Joy’s 21st birthday. She has been a good
friend ever since I started college with her three years ago. I hope to make her day
special. The other person’s birthday is a friend (if we can call each other that) I
haven’t spoken to in a while. This could make for a very awkward phone call. Nonetheless,
he knows I love birthdays so he should see this coming. Plus, I bought the present of
another friend today whose birthday is in June. I almost want to just give it to him now though.

3. I have been in sort of a funk lately. So my only answer to that is makeover everything!
Redoing my room, workspace, wardrobe, outlook on life. I’ve got to remember:
I am kind of great.
Conceded, much? I think there is enough of self deprecation in that to be affirming
yet not arrogant.

Antissssss…cipation.

I know that is not how you spell anticipation but it’s how Frankenfurter says
it in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I say this word because I am awaiting
two things: the possibility that my camera charge is at school in my flat file
that I failed to clean out. The second thing is going to the beach with
my friends today. Oregon isn’t usually sunny but today will be the last day
of the 15 days without rain streak we have here. That is a record. It is
Sunday and that means the week! I owe a Sketch Saturday as well!

See you soon,

Kare

I’m Koala-fied.

Working on ways to get the attention of design firms to give me an internship.
Believe it or not, it’s been difficult. Just sent a cover letter and resume and
feeling anxious about it already. Enjoy this koala picture.
Because I will be trying to draw it for the next couple minutes.

Damn you for making me so fond of you.

I am not an illustrator but I can’t seem to get this image out of my head.

So I had to do this unsophisticated line drawing. I miss my friend very much.
